When is the conference and what does the schedule look like? Wednesday, November 1 at 12:00pm through Friday, November 3, 2022 at 12:00pm
Where is the conference located and how do I book a hotel room? This year's annual conference will be held at the Renaissance Minneapolis Bloomington Hotel in Bloomington, MN. The hotel will cost $119 per night with our group rate. The last day to book at the conference rate is Friday, October 27, 2023.
How much does it cost? The conference registration fee is:
- Professional: $250 (plus $25 annual AIRUM membership fee)
- Retiree/Graduate Student: $100 (plus $25 annual AIRUM membership fee)
- Undergraduate Student: $50 (plus $25 annual AIRUM membership fee)

Keynote Speakers AIRUM is pleased to announce our panel of keynote speakers for the 2023 Conference -
Dr. Kristina Keller, Tom Halverson, and Dr. Priyank Shah!
Dr. Kristina Keller currently serves as Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs at Normandale Community College. In her role, she oversees the academic operations of the college and the six divisions responsible for over 60 areas of study as well as continuing education, customized training, dual enrollment, and university partnerships. She provides leadership, planning, evaluation, and supervision in strategic alignment of college academic programs and operations, as well as for continuous improvement, accreditation, and measures of accountability for the college. She also initiates, develops, and provides leadership and support for external partnerships and collaborative programs that support the college mission. These responsibilities support legislative initiatives, community relationships, business to program initiatives, multiple modes of instructional delivery, and the college Foundation initiatives. Dr. Keller is also an active member on several Minnesota State committees and taskforces, community and industry related committees and boards, and regularly presents on academic and student affairs topics regionally and nationally.
Prior to coming to Normandale, Dr. Keller was the Associate Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs at St. Cloud Technical and Community College. She also served as Dean in multiple areas of the college including liberal arts, technical programs, business, IT, and student affairs. She began her career as a business faculty member at Northland Community and Technical College and Valley City State University.
Dr. Keller holds a bachelor's degree in business; a Master of Business Administration degree (operations and human resource emphasis); and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration.
Tom Halverson (he/him) is Dean of the Faculty and Armstrong Professor of Mathematics at Macalester College. He has been a professor in the Mathematics, Statistic, and Computer Science Department for thirty years, chairing the department for six years, and he has served as Dean of the Faculty for the past year and a half. His scholarship is in theoretical mathematics, specifically algebra and combinatorics, and, in recent work, he has used symmetry to find structure in messy high-dimensional data!
Dr. Priyank Shah is the inaugural Executive Director for the Center for Data Access and Analytics at the Minnesota State System Office. Dr. Shah joined the Office of Equity and Inclusion in 2019 and most recently served as the Associate Vice Chancellor in the Office of Equity & Inclusion. Prior to joining the system office, Dr. Shah led Institutional Research at Rochester Community and Technical College. He has over 15 years of experience in higher education administration, institutional research, equity and inclusion efforts, strategic planning, and teaching. He holds a PhD in Sociology from the Ohio State University and Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from University at Buffalo, SUNY. Originally from the New York City area, he now lives in Rochester, Minnesota with his partner and daughter.

Cancellation/Refund Policy AIRUM Membership AIRUM membership cannot be cancelled once it is ordered.
AIRUM Conference Registration In order to receive a refund, all cancellations must be submitted to [email protected] with the subject line "AIRUM 2023 Conference Cancellation Request" by Monday, October 16, 2023. All cancellations are subject to a processing fee of $15 per conference registration. Cancellations received after the deadline will not be eligible for refund.
AIRUM 2023 Conference registration is transferable to another person from the same institution. A request to transfer conference registration must be submitted to [email protected] with the subject line “AIRUM 2023 Conference Transfer Request” by Friday, October 27, 2023. If the original registrant is a member and the new registrant is a nonmember, the new registrant must become a member and pay the annual $25 membership fee before the transfer request will be processed.
